Roundy's Appoints New Board Member, Lead Director

Milwaukee-based Roundy's Inc. has appointed a new board member with a retail marketing background and a lead director with roots in Midwestern grocery.

Kimberly Feil, the CEO of bizHive, joins the board with "proven retail marketing experience and a keen understanding of consumer insights, marketing strategy and change management," Roundy's announced. Feil has served as chief marketing officer at OfficeMax, Walgreen Co. and Sara Lee North America; senior marketing officer at Kimberly-Clark Corp.; and CEO of Mosaic InfoForce, a joint venture between Mosaic and Information Resources Inc. She also held an SVP of strategic planning role with Dr Pepper/7UP Inc.

“The addition of Ms. Feil further strengthens our board. We will benefit from her management expertise and retail experience and I look forward to working with Kim," said Robert Mariano, Roundy's president and CEO.

A board member since March 2012, Gregory Josefowicz has been appointed lead director and will also chair the nominating and corporate governance committees. Mariano will continue to serve as chairman of the board of directors. “Greg is well suited for the role of lead director and I look forward to working closely with him and all members of the board going forward,” Mariano said.

Josefowicz has been a private investor for the past five years. From 1999 to 2006, he was chairman and CEO of the Borders Group, and a board advisor until January 2008. He was CEO of the Jewel/Osco division of American Stores Co. until its merger with Albertson’s Inc., then became president of the Albertson’s Midwest region. Josefowicz is a director of United States Cellular Corp., and True Value Co., and an advisor to Kehe Foods. He previously served as the lead director and member of the audit committee of Winn-Dixie Stores Inc.'s board of directors; as a director of Ryerson Inc. and Spartan Stores; and the non-executive chairman of PetSmart Inc.

Founded in Milwaukee in 1872, Roundy’s operates 149 retail grocery stores and 99 pharmacies under the Pick ’n Save, Copps, Metro Market and Mariano’s retail banners in Wisconsin and Illinois.
