Metro Canada’s New Loyalty Program Includes Customization, Engagement Tools

Canadian supermarket chain Metro has expanded its relationship with loyalty solutions provider Givex to work on its new loyalty program, called, metro&moi.

Givex has provided gift certificate and gift card solutions to Toronto-based Metro since 2006 and is now the engine behind metro&moi, Metro’s latest loyalty program. As the metro&moi service provider, Givex is providing Metro with deep customization and customer engagement tools.

"Metro has designed a loyalty program that is truly exceptional," says Amanda French, VP partner and client development for Montreal-based Givex. "In addition to rewards, metro&moi incorporates data collection, personalization, and targeted customer email communication."

The Québec-wide program was implemented in September; customers collect points with each purchase and redeem these points for additional savings. Information collected by the metro&moi program helps Metro tailor its promotions and product selection for each customer.
