Sam's Club Hosting National Savings Event

For the first anniversary of its “ eValues” program providing personalized offers loaded onto Plus members’ cards and redeemed instantly at checkout, Sam’s Club is giving all members a chance to try the program for six days during a sale running from Sept. 1 through Sept. 6.

During the nationwide event, the Walmart division will offer over $300 worth of eValues on more than a dozen items, and give all Sam’s Club members access to early shopping hours, which begin at 7 a.m. daily except on Sundays. Normally, early shopping hours are an exclusive perk of Plus membership.

“We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the one-year anniversary of eValues than to give all 47 million members a chance to try eValues,” said Cindy Davis, EVP, membership, marketing and dotcom at Bentonville, Ark.-based Sam’s Club. “We want to appreciate our members, and show them how simple it is to save even more money year-round.”

Savings will range from $2 off Tide detergent and $1 off red seedless grapes, to $100 off an HP Desktop or Laptop. Existing Plus members will receive these extra eValues, along with personalized discounts added to their accounts. Multiple redemptions won’t be allowed, and sales are limited while supplies last.

Since eValues’ debut, Sam’s Club estimates that it's offered over $3.2 billion in extra savings to Plus members. On average, members who avail themselves of the customized offers save almost 20 percent on featured items, aside from the 30 percent savings they receive every day at the clubs, according to the chain.

Plus membership costs $100 annually and, as well as eValues and early shopping hours, benefits include up to 2 percent cash back on any purchase anywhere when a Sam’s Club Discover Card is used. Non-members who join Sam’s Club at any membership level during the September sales event will also receive the special anniversary offers.

Sam’s Club has over 47 million U.S. members and operates locations nationwide, as well as in Brazil, China, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
