Allegiance’s Savanello Named President, Eastern Produce Council

The Eastern Produce Council (EPC) named Vic Savanello president of the association for a two-year term during an April meeting hosted by the South Carolina Department of Agriculture. He succeeds outgoing president Paul Kneeland.

With more than 35 years of supermarket industry experience, Savanello is the director of produce/floral for Allegiance Retail Services, where he manages sales; coordinates advertising, merchandising and operational activities; and manages procurement for more than 85 Allegiance-member stores.

Savanello, an 18-year member of EPC, also serves as chairman of the New York Produce Show and Conference Committee, where he co-chairs the Strategic Planning Committee and is on the Leadership Committee.
