NFRA Adding to Cool Food Panel

The National Frozen and Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) is planning to expand its Cool Food Panel in 2015. The trade organization has gathered a distinguished online community, consisting of chefs, culinary experts and food bloggers, to share recipes and tips, and discuss current food trends.

Joining the panel is Katie Workman, a food writer, founding editor-in-chief of recipe collection site Cookstr.com and author of "The Mom 100 Cookbook: 100 Recipes Every Mom Needs in Her Back Pocket." The mother of two also has a new cookbook of family-friendly recipes coming out next year.

Workman will "bring delicious, mealtime solutions to kitchen tables across the country with trusted products from the frozen and refrigerated dairy aisles," according to NFRA President Skip Shaw.

Workman and the other panelists will create compelling content featuring frozen and refrigerated foods and share it on their social platforms, in addition to representing NFRA in various media outlets to secure national coverage.

NFRA's 2014 "Real Food. Frozen" and "The Dairy Aisle…Beyond Cool" public relations campaigns have generated more than 478 million combined impressions to date.

Harrisburg, Pa.-based NFRA, a nonprofit trade association representing all segments of the frozen and refrigerated foods industry, is the sponsor of March National Frozen Food Month, June Dairy Month, the June/July Ice Cream & Novelties promotion, and the October Cool Food for Kids educational outreach program.
