Wojtkowiak Named Ops VP for Kroger Atlanta

Jeff Wojtkowiak, VP of merchandising for The Kroger Co.’s Ohio-based Columbus Division, has accepted the position of VP of operations for the grocer's Atlanta Division.

Wojtkowiak will succeed Charles Mitchell, who retired as Atlanta's VP of operations in December.

“Jeff brings 34 years of operations and merchandising experience to this position,” said Bruce Lucia, president of Kroger’s Atlanta division. “We look forward to his leadership in the Atlanta Division as we continue to improve our customers' overall shopping experience.”

Wojtkowiak joined Cincinnati-based Kroger in 1981 as a utility clerk in Toledo, Ohio. “I am thrilled to accept this opportunity to serve customers and associates in the Atlanta Division,” Wojtkowiak said. “My 34 years with Kroger have been incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to the next step in my career.”

Kroger’s Georgia-based Atlanta Division is one of the Southeast’s largest retail grocery chains, with more than 186 stores, covering Georgia. Eastern Alabama and South Carolina.
