Soul Food
Launching nationally early next year, Chicken Soup for the Soul Foods, a partnership of Chicken Soup for the Soul Publishing LLC and retail branding and sourcing company Daymon Worldwide, will offer a line of convenient comfort foods, beginning, appropriately enough, with soups. Inspired by the popular book series, the line will expand quickly in 2013 and 2014 to include a full range of more than 100 health-conscious products in a variety of categories. First up are seven soups, led by iconic Chicken Noodle and followed by Chicken and Rice, Creamy Tomato and Mushroom Barley, as well as unique blends including Country Style Squash, Sweet Corn and Chipotle, and Hearty Black Bean. The initial soups will come in 15-ounce and 24-ounce reusable and recyclable traditional glass mason jars, with SRPs of $3.79 and $4.99, respectively. www.daymon.com; www.chickensoup.com
