K-VA-T Food City Makes the Switch to Zero-Grams Trans Fat Cooking Oil
ABINGDON, Va. -- In keeping with its "Healthy Food Experts" campaign, K-VA-T Food Stores, which operates under the Food City banner, said yesterday that its bakery/deli departments have now converted to the use of a zero-grams trans fat cooking oil.
The following Food City bakery/deli menu items now contain zero grams of trans fat: fresh fried chicken, chicken tenders, potato wedges, french fries, and breaded mushrooms.
K-VA-T Food Stores operates 94 retail food outlets and 88 bakery/deli departments throughout the tri-state regions of southeast Kentucky, southwest Virginia, and northeast Tennessee.
