Food City, Abingdon, Va.-based K-VA-T Food Stores' conventional banner, has brought back its successful Fuel/Pharmacy Bucks program, which offers customers two ways to earn rewards for those two departments.
"As rising fuel prices continue to present a challenge for the family budget and place additional strains on food expenditures, we felt compelled to provide some much-needed relief for our shoppers," said Steven C. Smith, K-VA-T's president and c.e.o. The program already underway continues through Jan. 3, 2009.
For every $10 in Food City private label or exclusive brand purchases in a single shopping trip, customers will receive a $1 Fuel/Pharmacy buck. In addition, shoppers will receive a bonus Fuel/Pharmacy Buck each time they purchase advertised bonus items in the grocer's weekly circular or in-store bonus item signage.
Fuel/Pharmacy bucks automatically dispense at checkout at the end of each order. Customers can redeem the bucks at any Food City Gas 'N Go or Food City Pharmacy location before Jan. 17, 2009. The promotion does not include the purchase of videos, gift cards, cigarettes or alcohol; select Food City Fresh meat, produce and deli items are excluded.
