Kalibrate Widens Traffic Count Database

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Kalibrate Technologies (formerly KSS Fuels) significantly enhanced its U.S. traffic database by adding or updating more than 40,000 unique traffic data points.

Its traffic database now has more than 2.9 counts at nearly 1.4 million unique traffic count locations. Kalibrate delivers two major components of traffic intelligence: actual traffic counts throughout North America and current-year estimates, a proprietary statistical technique to bring older traffic counts up-to-date.

Kalibrate collects traffic count data from more than 6,000 different points and assembles the information into a common geographic database for use in mapping applications. The data is continuously updated for all road types, the company noted.

“Traffic count data is an important piece of the puzzle when evaluating retail locations and when carrying out day-to-day fuel pricing,” said Bob Stein, president and CEO of Kalibrate Technologies. “Retailers having access to detailed traffic passing by their locations will benefit in a variety of ways, including being able to evaluate improvements in areas such as fuel pricing, the link between fuel purchasers and in-store merchandise purchases, and whether enhancements to sites with merchandising changes and/or remodels would benefit from known traffic data. Our traffic database source delivers the most complete and accurate traffic data commercially available.”

Florham Park, N.J.-based Kalibrate Technologies is a global provider of fuels pricing and retail location intelligence.
