    Kids Konserve Curbs Lunchtime Waste

Free reusable lunch sacks promote environmental responsibility

In an effort to promote conservation and sustainability among school-aged children, Annie’s Homegrown, Stonyfield YoKids, Honest Kids, and Seventh Generation have joined forces for the second consecutive year to offer free Kids Konserve reusable lunch sacks for back-to-school season.

Through Oct. 31, families will receive a reusable lunch sack with the purchase of any of the following products:

    • Any Annie’s Homegrown item
    • Stonyfield YoKids Organic Yogurt 6-packs or Squeezers
    • Honest Kids Organic Drinks 8-pack carton or 64-ounce bottle
    • Seventh Generation disinfectants (sprays or wipes)

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that 31 tons of plastic waste was generated in 2010, and only 12 percent of plastic bags, sacks and wraps were recycled. Further, each school lunch creates an average of 67 pounds of trash per school year. Kids Konserve lunch sacks are washable, made of recycled cotton, and minimize the waste that daily paper or plastic lunch bags would produce.

To be eligible for the promotion, participants must mention Annie’s Homegrown and partnering brands on their social media platforms.
