Kraft Invites Grilled Cheese Lovers to Pick Next Singles Commercial

GLENVIEW, Ill. -- Inspired by their love of grilled cheese sandwiches, more than 450 qualified entrants have submitted what is presumed to be "very cheesy" entries for "Have A Happy Sandwich" video contest sponsored by Kraft Singles on MySpace.com, said the cheese maker.

Each of the five vying contestants has the chance to win $50,000 and be featured in a national commercial. Kraft Singles is giving Americans the opportunity to select the winner by visiting www.myspace.com/haveahappysandwich between Nov. 26 and Dec. 10, 2007 to vote for their favorite grilled cheese-inspired video. In order to cast a vote, visitors must be a MySpace member; non-members can easily register for an account to vote in the video contest.

Launched on Oct. 15, the contest invited people to create their own 10- to 15-second interpretation of a Kraft Singles “Have A Happy Sandwich” moment, demonstrating the simple joy that comes from enjoying a grilled cheese sandwich. Participants from across the country embraced the challenge in wildly creative ways – showcasing everything from animated cheese superheroes to grilled cheese ninja stick puppets.
