Kraft Names VP Industry Development

Kraft Foods Group has named Omar Khalaf to the position of VP Industry Development, effective immediately. Khalaf replaces Regenia Stein, who will retire from the company.

Khalaf will be responsible for leading Kraft Sales Industry Development with a focus on category and customer development opportunities to ensure relevancy for the company’s customers and their shoppers.

Khalaf began his career in the food industry 30 years ago in his hometown of Lynwood, Calif. He spent nine years in retail before joining Nabisco as a sales representative in Vernon in 1990. Over the next 22 years, he served in various management positions including senior director of Planning & Insights for the west and customer VP west region managing west area regional customers. In June of 2010, Khalaf was appointed to the position of customer VP leading the Safeway team for Kraft.
