Kroger, biggs Launch New Savings Programs

CINCINNATI -- The Kroger Co. here and Procter and Gamble, also based here, have teamed up to launch a new "digital coupon" program.

In order to access the new money-savings program, Kroger customers register online at the retailer's Web site by entering their shopper loyalty card number to sign up at the "P&G E-saver" section.

Once registered, shoppers will in turn receive digital coupons for P&G products such as Tide, Crest, Pampers, and Bounty.

In other Cincinnati grocery market news, Supervalu's biggs subsidiary has launched a money-saving deal aimed at new parents -- biggs Baby Club -- replacing biggs' former "Baby Bucks" program, which is being discontinued. Customers with existing points in the former Baby Bucks program can still cash them in for discounts.

Biggs, a wholly owned subsidiary of Minneapolis-based Supervalu, operates 13 locations in Cincinnati and Indiana.
