Kroger to Move Mid-South HQ
CINCINNATI - The Kroger Co. here has paid almost $9 million for a two-story office building at 1600 Ormsby Station Court that will become its new Mid-South division headquarters.
The building, off N. Hurstbourne Parkway, offers 85,000-square-feet of space and is expected to house the retailer's merchandising, operations, human resources, real estate, facility engineering, risk management, community relations, advertising, and IT departments. Those departments currently are split between two leased sites in Louisville, which expire at the end of June, according to press reports.
The building will require some renovations before the move, which is expected to take place by midsummer.
Kroger operates more than 2,400 supermarkets and multi-department stores in 31 states.
