As part of its first comprehensive effort targeting female consumers, Frito-Lay has rolled out SmartFood popcorn clusters, which offer both nutrients and indulgent flavors. A one-ounce serving contains two grams of fat or less, 120 calories or less, five grams of fiber and is an excellent source of calcium, according to the Plano, Texas-based division of PepsiCo. The product launch will be advertised online, in print, and on TV as part of the “Only in a Woman’s World” animated series. There will also be national targeted sampling events in and out of stores. Available in Chocolate Cookie Caramel Pecan, Honey Multigrain and Cranberry Almond varieties, SmartFood popcorn clusters come in a box of five single-serve 1-ounce "purse" pouches that retails for a suggested $3.49.
