Lunchmeat brand Land O’Frost is teaming up with Marvel Entertainment to celebrate this month’s launch of “Captain America” offering customers the chance at a trip to attend a Marvel movie premiere in 2012.
Specially marked packages of Land O’Frost Premium products contain instant-win cards, one of which contains a Marvel package including special access to a Marvel world movie premiere in Los Angeles for four, including round-trip travel and three nights of hotel accommodations. In addition to the grand prize trip, there will be 500 instant-win cards giving customers an action-packed “Captain America” video game and 100,000 packages will be filled with exclusive trading cards.
“We have such enthusiastic customers that we consider them to be ‘superfans’ of Land O’Frost,” said Stephan Williams, Land O’Frost VP of marketing. “It is these superfans that have made us America’s favorite one-pound deli pouch, so it’s only fitting that we team up with Captain America to reward them for their support.”
A co-branded spot from Land O’Frost and Marvel will be aired throughout the promotional period, including select scenes from “Captain America.” Super fans can also visit www.landofrost.com to watch the movie trailer; play the Captain America Red Skull and Crossbones arcade game; read an original Captain America comic book, “First Vengeance”; and download Captain America wallpaper for their computer.
This is the third year in a row that Land O’Frost has partnered with Marvel; last year, Land O’Frost ran a similar instant-win promotion in coordination with the launch of Marvel’s, “Iron Man 2.”
Lansing, Ill.-based Land O’Frost manufactures sliced packaged luncheon meats and is the largest family-owned brand of packaged deli meat in the United States.
