The latest addition to a classic lineup, Nestlé Cherry Raisinets joins Cranberry Raisinets, which debuted last year, as the second new fruit variety to be introduced to the brand portfolio in over 80 years. Consisting of premium whole dried Montmorency Tart Cherries from Michigan that have been encased in Nestlé Dark Chocolate, the tasty treat provides a half-serving of real fruit in every quarter-cup and 30 percent less fat than the leading chocolate brands, as well as a wealth of antioxidants from both the cherries and the chocolate, according to Glendale, Calif.-based Nestlé USA, a division of Swiss company Nestlé S.A. The CPG giant is promoting the product launch with a series of Webisodes and an “Ultimate Road Trip” contest. A 4-ounce resealable standup bag of Cherry Raisinets retails for a suggested $3.29.
