LIVE FROM NGA: Glimpses from the Show Floor

Attendees from all facets of the food industry converged this week in Las Vegas for the National Grocers Association (NGA) 2013 Show, which featured a sold out exhibit floor and multiple high-interest educational workshops.

Having sold out in record time this year, the show floor features a wide variety of products and solutions for the independent grocer. In addition, through the co-location of the North American Meat Association (NAMA)'s MEATEXPO 13, attendees are able to see highlights from the suppliers of the meat industry. The Produce Marketing Association (PMA) is also once again hosting a Produce Pavilion on the EXPO Floor, expanded to include over 3,000 feet of produce vendors. The floor is open from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Monday and in a change for 2013, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, allowing attendees and exhibitors time to maximize their networking and relationship building.

Progressive Grocer editors are making the rounds at the show to catch up on the latest updates from retailers, suppliers and other notable association and industry leaders, a sampling of which appears in the photo gallery below.
