Más Club, a membership warehouse club that offers an assortment of imported Hispanic products, has launched a month-long celebration in recognition of Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day.
Called, “Mes de Celebración,” the event celebrates Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day with a series of community activities in its store.
“Más Club is the perfect choice for families who are celebrating,” said club manager Noe Cantú. “From our Tortillería to our Mexican bakery to our cut-to-order meat shop, we have everything for Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day celebrations.”
Más Club kicks off the months events with Cinco de Mayo entertainment. The club will feature Mariachi music, Mexican Folkloric dancers, product demonstrations, and sampling from suppliers including Dreyer’s Ice Cream, Klass, Sigma, and Lala.
The retailer will celebrate Mother’s Day weekend on May 7 and May 8, inviting members to the club for a free family photo from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., limit one per household. Also scheduled are food demonstrations from Lucas, Garcia’s, Advance Brands, and Cliffstar. May 10, Más Club will also celebrate Mother’s Day as the day in Mexico and Latin America when Mothers are honored. Celebrations include Mariachi music by El Viajero, and sampling by Dreyer’s Ice Cream, La Huerta, Cordialsa and Barcel. Members can also pick up jewelry and flowers at the store.
For May Mas Club is also offering a special, limited-time membership offer, 10-weeks for $10, for non-members. Other offers for members during the Month of Celebration include up to 25 free 4x6 prints at the Más Club Photo Center, $10 off any general office visit at La Clínica y Más and $1 off Barri Wire Transfers. Offers are valid May 5 to May 15.
Más Club, a new format of Sam’s Club, first opened its doors in Houston in 2009 to bring consumers a wide assortment of brand name products imported from Mexico. It offers its members an on-site medical clinic, La Clínica y Más, with a pharmacy, and a banking center that provides check cashing and money wiring services.
