MC-McLane International Names Ex-grocer Stinebaugh Prez/COO
Import/export and international brand management company MC-McLane International has named 35-year grocery veteran Louis Stinebaugh president and c.o.o., reporting to another ex-grocer, Mike Julian, who is chairman and c.e.o.
Stinebaugh was most recently president at San Jose, Calif.-based Mi Pueblo Food Center. He also served as president/c.o.o. at Fresh Brands Distributing in Sheboygan, Wisc., where he was responsible for wholesale and retail operations of 100 corporate and franchised Piggly Wiggly and Dicks Supermarkets.
He began his career in 1972 at The Kroger Co. in Greenville, Texas. In 1978 he joined Safeway and was distribution center manager in Saudi Arabia from 1979 to 1983. He also held leadership positions with Baker’s Supermarkets in Omaha, Neb. from 1987 to 1999, and later held the positions of v.p. merchandising and division president with Fleming Cos.
