Meijer Sets New Platform for E-Commerce Distribution

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Meijer Inc. here selected CommerceHub, a supply chain integration and fulfillment solutions provider, to implement a supplier-direct distribution network for the supercenter chain's new e-commerce initiative.

The e-commerce virtual inventory distribution model enables Meijer to present a more expansive product line online, including exclusive products and pricing, than is offered in its 181 supercenters, featuring.

The CommerceHub single connections for network integration enabled meijer.com to efficiently on-board and empower suppliers to fulfill orders directly to the end customer, eliminating the need to physically stock and warehouse inventory for its online operation.

Meijer operates 181 supercenters throughout Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Kentucky.
