Meijer Signs on as Founding Partner of Indy Colts New Stadium

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Meijer, Inc., based here, has signed on to be a founding partner of the Indianapolis Colts' new 63,000-seat arena, Lucas Oil Stadium, when the facility opens at the start of next season.

The agreement includes a variety of benefits, including a themed area in the northwest corner of Lucas Oil Stadium, as well as signage and advertising opportunities. Meijer will also have opportunities to network with the Colts in community-related events and programs. Meijer c has nine supercenters in greater Indianapolis and 24 throughout Indiana.

Said Mike Frattini, spokesman for Meijer's Indianapolis market, "We listen to our customers, and our customers love the Colts, so taking advantage of this opportunity to broaden our relationship with the team was a very logical step for us."

Lucas Oil Stadium is also scheduled to host several national events over the next six years, including NCAA Men's and Women's Final Four Basketball Tournaments, concerts, and conventions.

Meijer operates 181 supercenters throughout Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky.
