GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Meijer Inc. here said it has selected Traverse City, Mich.-based Oneupweb to develop a pay-per-click campaign focusing on strengthening the retailer's national brand value, sales, and brand loyalty online.
Meijer recently launched a new e-commerce Web site that enables visitors to shop the retail supercenter online, including items not available in stores. Meijer said it partnered with Oneupweb to increase traffic and conversion rates on the site and create a positive reputation as a national online retailer.
"We researched several companies, but what drew us to Oneupweb was the breadth of services offered, particularly in SEO [search engine marketing] and SEM [search engine optimization]," said Elizabeth Truman of Meijer's e-commerce marketing and promotions department. "Oneupweb is upfront, easy to work with and provides us with a wealth of great information."
Some of that information will be obtained through Oneupweb's proprietary technology, ROI trax, a conversion technology that allows Oneupweb to monitor, track, and quickly fine-tune Meijer's search marketing campaign.
Meijer oerates 181 supercenters throughout Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Kentucky.
