Metropolitan Market Kirkland to Host Guy's Grocery Games Challenge

Metropolitan Market and local Kirkland, Wash., radio station Warm 106.9 are teaming up to highlight Guy Fieri's new show, "Guy's Grocery Game Challenge," which will be hosted at the grocer’s Kirkland store this Saturday.

The Food Network show is set in a grocery store where four chefs compete against each other through three cooking challenges. While doing so, they must navigate their way through grocery aisles, surmounting real-world challenges and creating competitive dishes. Chef contestants must rely on their improvisation, gamesmanship and culinary skills to bring home the grand prize.

On Nov. 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kirkland store, the four local contestants will be provided with unique shopping lists and tasked with searching the store for these items. The fastest shopper wins a $1,000 shopping spree at Metropolitan Market. The contestants were chosen when they called Warm 106.9 and answered one of "Guy's Grocery Trivia Questions."

Seattle-based Metropolitan Market operates six stores in western Washington.
