COPPELL, Texas - Regional grocery chain Minyard Food Stores plans to install a new aisle marker program that serves as both a navigational tool and an advertising platform.
(CMI) is pleased to announce that Texas-based has selected the The retailer will use the AirShow Aisle Marker program from Dallas-based Combustion Media, Inc. in its 49 stores across its Minyard, Sack-n-Save, and Carnival banners. The AirShow program utilizes the airspace above the aisles, and serves as a navigational tool for shoppers. The aisle markets also have space available to support advertising by CPG companies, which can offset the cost of the program.

Combustion Media is currently installing the displays, and more than 1,500 will be used in the program, representing approximately 34 per store. CMI handles installation and maintenance of each AirShow display, along with partners as Sylvania Lighting Services and WIS International.
Each unit is a 2-foot x 4-foot backlit electrical fixture with a 15-inch drop lens that is hung approximately 9 feet off the floor at each end of the store aisle. They are two-sided, and list the aisle categories on each face panel, and a space in the center of each display provides an advertising opportunity. The ends of the markers display the aisle number and/or a store logo.
Brands participating in the aisle marker advertising program will be charged a monthly advertising lease fee to display their promotions, and receive exclusive rights to the leased airspace for the term of their agreement, and can change out their promotional content at will.
Minyard operates 59 supermarkets, 33 pharmacies, and 14 fuel stations in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, including 22 Minyard, 25 Carnival, and 12 Sack'n Save stores.
