MyWebGrocer Expands

COLCHESTER, Vt. -- MyWebGrocer, a provider of Internet services to grocery retailers, has hired more staff at its home office here and opened a new office in Charlotte, N.C.

The operations department has added two operations analysts, Jessica Bilodeau and Clare Walker, who handle customer support, product maintenance, and store setup. "We pride ourselves on our customer service," said director of operations Heather Drake, "and Jessica and Clare are people our customers already love working with."

Sarah Masuzzo has joined the MyWebLink, a division of MyWebGrocer, as marketing coordinator, in which capacity she is responsible for public relations and ad operations, as well as marketing and sales support for the division, which provides retail organizations with business-critical applications to grow revenue, reduce costs, and streamline operations.

Laura Sutherland, a former News America employee who has joined MyWebGrocer as v.p. of strategic accounts, oversaw the June 18 opening of the company's Charlotte office. Sutherland is working with the sales team to provide MyWebGrocer's new and existing customers with the latest online technology, tools, and services.

"In our business, continual innovation is what gives us an edge," noted s.v.p. of sales Curt Alpeter. "Laura will help us maintain that edge in providing the best and most current Web solutions to our clients."

"When we started this company in 1999, we were a small business with a single idea -- to bring e-commerce to the grocery vertical," said c.e.o. Rich Tarrant. "As I look at us today, we have become the leading provider of Internet solutions to the grocery vertical and we continue to expand our offerings with new applications -- most recently social networking tools and video applications. [T]hrough it all we have kept the same core values in place: providing our customers with the latest technology and services available."

MyWebGrocer_ provides Web site design and hosting, e-mail, online circular, recipe, personalization, and e-commerce services to over 80 major retail grocery chains across the United States.
