WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Turkey Federation (NTF) was recognized by the Web Marketing Association in the 2007 International Web Award competition for its outstanding "Standard of Excellence" in the creation and development of its Web site, EatTurkey.com.
NTF’s award-winning Web site offers consumers, foodservice professionals, and the media access to an extensive library of information, including resources on healthy eating and restaurant trends, turkey cuts and purchasing, and turkey cooking. The site also boasts a searchable database of over 1,500 recipes.
Entries in the competition were judged on seven distinct criteria: design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting, and ease of use. EatTurkey.com scored above the averages of other award recipients in six of these categories, and above the industry averages in all seven.
The Web Marketing Association, founded in 1997, is dedicated to improving the quality of online marketing and advertising. In their eleventh year of honoring the makers of great websites in ninety-six different industries, they aim to set high standards for Web site development.
