In-store retail technology solutions provider NCR Corp. has expanded its channel partnership with Phoenix-based Fields Consulting Group, Inc., a full-service information technology (IT) company and provider of point-of-sale (POS) solutions for the retail and hospitality industry.
Through this deal, Fields Consulting Group will continue to resell the NCR RealPOS terminals, adding the NCR General POS Software Solution (GenPOS) and associated help desk support for its midmarket customers and other NCR GenPOS resellers.
NCR GenPOS is a transaction processing and reporting software solution for general and specialty retail store and restaurant owners. It includes a wide range of features to provide consumers with fast and efficient service, including the ability to handle promotional discounts and coupons.
“This partnership creates value for the NCR General POS Solution partner community and their customers,” said Brad Tracy, VP of channel sales for Duluth, Ga.-based NCR. “Our NCR GenPOS partners gain an experienced help-desk resource that provides them with even more options to support midmarket retailers and restaurants.”
According to NCR, the NCR GenPOS is ideally suited to hardware, specialty, drug, boutique and general merchandise retailers as well as foodservice companies in the cafeteria, quick-service, table service, institutional sectors, and grocers with large foodservgice offerings.
To maximize POS uptime, Fields Consulting Group will offer several tiers of support packages, monitoring and incident reporting, based on the customer’s requirements, all the way up to full-time monitoring 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
