NFL fans and other folks will have the opportunity to meet Washington Redskins player Anthony Montgomery and Carolina Panther Jordan Gross at two Harris Teeter stores, as the two star athletes offer samples of new sandwiches created by the grocer’s Fresh Food Market and named in their honor.
Defensive Tackle Anthony Montgomery of the Redskins will be at the Harris Teeter at Spectrum Center in Reston, Va. tomorrow from noon until 1 p.m. “The Monty,” named in honor of Montgomery, features turkey breast and ham, American cheese, lettuce and pickles on whole wheat bread and will be available in limited areas. Montgomery will sign autographs while at the store.
At the Harris Teeter at Morrocroft Village in Charlotte, N.C., meanwhile, Carolina Panthers’ Tackle Jordan Gross will sign autographs on Tuesday, Sept. 16 from noon until 1 p.m. Harris Teeter will introduce “The Big Block” sandwich in honor of Gross, with turkey, onions, sprouts, banana peppers and cheese on whole grain bread. The sandwich will be available at Charlotte area Harris Teeter stores.
