N.J. Food Basics Hosts Hispanic Fest

The Saturday event will feature food sampling, children's entertainment, music, and special discounts, said A&P.

A Food Basics store in North Bergen, N.J. tomorrow will play host for the second time to the Annual Food Basics Family Festival, a local Hispanic cultural party featuring Latin music and traditional foods.

This year's festival will feature Cuban-born cooking show celebrity Jose Hernandez, better known as Chef Pepin, as well as Latin music from radio station WSKQ 97.9 FM "La Mega," a range of family activities, giveaways of America's Choice products, and traditional dishes such as a pig roast.

Chef Pepin will appear at the store from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., entertaining attendees while helping with the pig roast.

Additionally, customers will have the chance to experience authentic Hispanic culture by sampling foods from over 25 vendors including such famous brands as Goya, LaCena, Cibao Meats, and Cafe Bustelo.
