    AG New England Gets Retail Counselor

    PEMBROKE, N.H. -- Henry Vance has joined the sales team at Associated Grocers of New England here as a retail counselor, in which capacity he will cover the southern marketing area and focus on the areas of bakery and deli, according to the company.

    PEMBROKE, N.H. -- Henry Vance has joined the sales team at Associated Grocers of New England here as a retail counselor, in which capacity he will cover the southern marketing area and focus on the areas of bakery and deli, according to the company.

    Vance, who reports to retail accounts manager Paul Greenan, comes to AG New England with an extensive background in retail deli management. He has managed high-volume deli departments at Shaw's Supermarkets over the past four years, and previously served as a seafood/deli manager at DeMoulas/Market Basket for 10 years.

    AG New England, owned entirely by independent retail grocers as members of a cooperative, serves independent retail food stores in Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and the upstate New York/Albany area. The company is the largest retailer-owned, wholesale grocery distribution center in New England.
