    IGA Launches Shopping Spree Sweepstakes

    CHICAGO, Ill. - As the first core marketing event in its "2007 Family, Friends & Food" marketing program, IGA here is hosting the IGA Shopping Spree Sweepstakes Feb. 25-March 10., offering savings on brand name consumer sponsor products from IGA's Red Oval Family of manufacture partners, as well as the opportunity for customers to enter to win a pair of $25 shopping sprees.

    CHICAGO, Ill. - As the first core marketing event in its "2007 Family, Friends & Food" marketing program, IGA here is hosting the IGA Shopping Spree Sweepstakes Feb. 25-March 10., offering savings on brand name consumer sponsor products from IGA's Red Oval Family of manufacture partners, as well as the opportunity for customers to enter to win a pair of $25 shopping sprees.

    Customers may register via general sweepstakes entry as many times as they wish during the promotional period. At the end of the period, each IGA supermarket will conduct a random sweepstakes drawing for two $25 IGA CertifiChecks - one for the winner and a second for a friend or a relative of the winner in a different household.

    "With a 'Winner in every store', IGA Shopping Spree provides participating IGA retailers a great tool to demonstrate their Hometown Proud roots in the communities they serve," said Jim Walz, IGA senior director of branding and business development. "It also creates consumer awareness of the year-long plan, and generates excitement among our retailers."

    IGA has the support of a number of supplier sponsors for its 2007 IGA Family, Friends & Food marketing event program, including Anheuser-Busch, Inc., Campbell Soup Co., The Coca-Cola Co., Coca-Cola Hydration Business Unit, ConAgra Foods, Inc., Georgia-Pacific Corp., The Hershey Co., Kraft Foods, Nabisco, Nestle USA, Nestle Purina PetCare Co., The J.M. Smucker Co., and Unilever.
