NGA Calls for Creative Choice Award Entries
The 2019 Creative Choice Awards will be presented at The NGA Show

The National Grocers Association (NGA) is now accepting entries for its annual Creative Choice Awards, which honor the best grocery marketing and merchandising programs.

Winners will be honored at The NGA Show, slated for Feb. 24-27, 2019, in San Diego.

Sponsored by Kellogg's and Unilever, the awards single out those grocery marketing and merchandising efforts that have increased store traffic, boosted item or department sales, positively affected overall store sales or provided a unique benefit to the surrounding community.

Marketing campaigns and merchandising events or promotions held between Dec. 1, 2017, and Dec. 1, 2018, are eligible for this year's contest. All entries are due via online submission portal by Monday, Dec. 17.

The 2019 contest will once again feature five marketing and five merchandising categories from which two winners for each category – one entry from a one- to 15-store operator and one entry from an operator of more than 15 stores – will be chosen.

Retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, suppliers and advertising agencies involved in the development and employment of marketing and merchandising programs for grocery stores are eligible to submit campaigns and promotions for consideration.

As Creative Choice is a retailer competition, however, the retailer that implements a winning campaign will be the entity honored.

A panel of industry experts will judge entries on creativity, clarity and effectiveness. From among the category winners, one Outstanding Marketer and one Outstanding Merchandise winner each will be voted on by the public via the internet. The Outstanding Merchandiser and Outstanding Marketer titles are the highest Creative Choice Awards, with the winners to be revealed at The NGA Show.

Further information, as well as the online submission portal, is available online.
