    CVS/pharmacy to Install New Merchandising and Master Data Management Platform

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - Retail pharmacy chain CVS/pharmacy plans to install a new master data management and merchandising solution to quickly adjust its merchandise mix according to changing market needs.

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. - Retail pharmacy chain CVS/pharmacy plans to install a new master data management and merchandising solution to quickly adjust its merchandise mix according to changing market needs.

    The retailer selected Soft Solutions' ibs Referential and ibs Data Sync. "As our business evolves, we must have merchandise information systems that will allow us to quickly and effectively react," said Raymond Auger, v.p., retail systems for CVS. "Soft Solutions' capabilities can meet this challenge."

    Soft Solutions said it provides Web-based retail merchandise management and decision support software. Its customers include Carrefour, Auchan, Group Louis Delhaize, Kingfisher, Pinault-Printemps-Redoute, and Galeries Lafayette.

    CVS operates approximately 6,200 retail and specialty pharmacy stores in 43 states and the District of Columbia.
