SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Price Chopper Supermarkets here is this week donating TMX Elmo, the most interactive Tickle Me Elmo doll yet, to three facilities in its marketing area.
Cedarcrest, located in Keene, N.H., is a small nonprofit pediatric facility providing specialized care to children from birth to age 16 with variety of disabilities, including high-risk medical conditions and/or multiple disabilities; UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center, located in Worcester, Mass., is a "hospital within a hospital" providing all the services available in a comprehensive children's hospital; and Connecticut Children's Medical Center, located in Hartford, Conn., is a full-service hospital dedicated to improving the physical and emotional health of children.
Additionally, the local Price Chopper in Keene and Worcester, as well as all Price Choppers in the state of Connecticut, will have a limited number of TMX Elmos on sale beginning 7 a.m. today.
The family-owned Golub Corp. owns and operates over 100 Price Chopper grocery stores in New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Golub's approximately 24,000 associates collectively own 55 percent of the company's privately held stock.
