SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Price Chopper Supermarkets here has brought all 1,500 members of its management team to Hartford, Conn. for a convention to bring the team up to speed on product and industry trends. The show began Sept. 25, and will run through Sept. 27.
As well as displays created by the Northeast regional grocer's diverse vendor community, Price Chopper's Fall Show features information about industry trends, fall and holiday seasonal merchandising programs, new items, and signature product line extensions. (Story continues below.)
"This show is a wonderful way for us to share with our store and department managers the ideas, programs, and inspiration that differentiate us from the competition," noted Price Chopper president and c.e.o. Neil Golub in a statement.
All unopened food product remaining at the end of the event will be contributed to Foodshare, Northeast Parent & Child, and the Albany Damien Center, and all floral product will be given to Hartford Hospital and Little Sisters of the Poor of Enfield, Conn.
