ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Supervalu's chairman and c.e.o., Jeff Noddle, will keynote a food industry disaster response symposium hosted by the Food Industry Center here.
The Food Industry Center, will co-sponsor the symposium set for Nov. 1 at the University of Minnesota, along with the National Center for Food Protection and Defense at the University of Minnesota and the Trucking Industry Program at Georgia Tech.
Subtitled "Terrorism, Pandemics, and Natural Disasters: Food Supply Chain Preparedness, Response, & Recovery," the symposium will draw academic, private, and public experts to discuss the state of the industry's disaster response network. On the agenda are workshops such as: Avian influenza; insurance and disaster recovery; risk communications; and best practices case studies and research.
The title of Noddle's keynote session is "Disaster Recovery: What We have to do Right."
