QUINCY, Mass. -- A week before New York State's kids start returning to school, U.S. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Stop & Shop consumer advisor Andrea Astrachan will jointly reveal Stop & Shop's contribution of $10,000 in healthier children's snacks to food charity Island Harvest at a Stop & Shop unit in Amityville, N.Y.
The two will also discuss the need for parents to make sure their children eat a healthy diet, as school districts throughout New York state get ready for the back-to-school season by implementing wellness policies on physical education and nutrition.
