SAN ANTONIO -- Based on the success of its existing demand management software, HEB here is adding promotion and markdown management software to create a complete lifestyle pricing program for its stores.
The retailer is adding the Promotion and Markdown modules from San Carlos, Calif.-based DemandTec to complement its existing DemandTec Price solution.
"Our partnership with DemandTec has delivered significant business benefits for H-E-B," said Harvey McCoy, s.v.p., merchandising/procurement strategy, H-E-B. "Now we have the opportunity to completely manage the entire lifecycle of price utilizing DemandTec's technology."
H-E-B has more than 300 stores under the HEB, Central Market, and The Pantry Food Stores banners, and employs more than 56,000 associates.
