KEY WEST, Fla. -- Fausto's Food Palace, an independent, upscale food retailer here, said Friday it has installed wine information kiosks at its two locations in Key West.
The WinesandRecipes.com kiosks, made by WineMiner, LLC, will enable Fausto's to market an entire consumer experience around wine and food pairings, by providing ratings and reviews for all of its wines, along with recommendations for complementary cheeses and recipes. The kiosk also provides targeted promotional opportunities.
The Internet version of WinesandRecipes.com contains information on more than 30,000 wines, plus over 200 cheeses and 110 recipes. The kiosk version, however, is customized to Fausto's wine and cheese inventory.
Fausto's Food Palace, specializing in gourmet and specialty foods, calls itself "Key West's hometown grocery store since 1926." The company is owned by Jimmy and Alton Weekley.
