GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Shopko Stores, a specialty discount retailer with 360 stores across 23 states, yesterday began employing a new advertising and promotion technology solution for its flyers and in-store merchandising.
ShopKo is using Connect3 Systems, Inc., Advertising, Merchandising and Promotion (AMP) Performance Series software solutions, which are designed to enhance production efficiency for in-store marketing and merchandising materials.
Implementation of Connect3 includes integration of Connect3's core Promotion Manager module with ShopKo's Retek merchandising, inventory, and POS systems. Advertising artists use the Connect3 Publishing Manager for InDesign to enable automated placement and formatting of the versioned promotion content into the creative documents. Connect3 Signage Manager will be used to leverage the content and digital asset management and version optimization technology to meet ShopKo's requirements for targeted in-store visual merchandising materials.

Connect3's AMP Performance Series consists of a configurable framework and business applications built on industry standards-based technology and open database platforms. It provides Web-based merchandising, reporting, and workflow tools that enable merchandising, marketing, and advertising departments to collaborate cross-category to deliver promotions that follow company business rules.
