MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Associated Grocers of New England, based here, has promoted Ken Peperissa to the position of director of information technology. Since joining the grocery co-op in December 1983, Peperissa has served as a program analyst, applications supervisor and, since 1995, programming manager.
"Ken and his team have been instrumental in the development and installation of many systems, as well as the development of AG New England's Web site," noted s.v.p. finance and administration Steve Murphy in a statement. Reporting to Murphy, Peperissa will supervise the company's programming and computer operations teams.
Owned entirely by independent retail grocers as members of a cooperative, AG New England, the largest retailer-owned, wholesale grocery distribution center in the region, serves independent retail food stores in Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and the upstate New York/Albany area.
