    Brookshire Grocery Co. Selects Automated Fuel Management Ops Provider

    HOUSTON, Tex. -- Brookshire Grocery Co. here has selected FuelQuest's Fuel Management System (FMS) to automate its fuel operations with an end-to-end solution for its expanding gasoline center business.

    HOUSTON, Tex. -- Brookshire Grocery Co. here has selected FuelQuest's Fuel Management System (FMS) to automate its fuel operations with an end-to-end solution for its expanding gasoline center business.

    "By selecting FuelQuest's FMS we now have the flexibility to effectively manage numerous supply choices and transportation options," said Greg Nordyke, Brookshire's v.p. of transportation and fuel services. "Through strategic sourcing, we plan to drive down our inventory, procurement and transportation costs while increasing our flexibility and scalability. We believe FuelQuest has the state of the art technology and industry expertise to drive value throughout our entire fuel supply chain. Their knowledge of the fuel business set them apart from other technology providers," Nordyke added.

    FMS begins with remote tank monitoring of inventory levels, proceeds through demand forecasting, auto replenishment, dispatch, delivery and finishes with back office reconciliation and taxes.

    Brookshire Grocery Co. currently has 77 gasoline centers in operation at Brookshire's and Super 1 Foods stores located throughout Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Based in Tyler, Texas they have been serving grocery customers since 1928.
