SAN FRANCISCO -- More efficient operations and enhanced customer experience were the key drivers in Al's Market's decision to refresh its point-of-sale system at its store here.
The new solution, provided by NCR RealPartner Electronic Retail Systems, Inc., also includes Advanced Checkout Solution (ACS), NCR RealPOS 80c workstations with the DynaKey operator interface, and NCR RealScan bi-optic scanners. ERS managed installation and will also provide ongoing maintenance for the solution, deployed in May 2005.
"Al's has been a neighborhood market for more than 30 years," said store owner Jerry Weinmeister. "NCR Advanced Checkout Solution has strengthened that three-decade legacy of superior customer service by allowing us to more easily implement customer-specific promotions as well as simplifying operation for our cashiers."
The new system features the ACS Consumer Marketing (CM) module, a set of flexible promotional wizards. Featuring interactive step-by-step guides that help users implement promotional pricing programs, CM was developed to help retailers create a variety of customer promotion opportunities with or without a shopper loyalty card.
