CHESTERFIELD, Mo. -- St. Louis consumers definitely want their Dierbergs TV.
The latest episode of Dierbergs Markets' "Everybody Cooks" television show, which aired June 6, was the most-watched in its time period, according to the 20-unit retailer, based here.
More than 229,000 St. Louis-area consumers tuned into the show on KMOV-TV, which helped it garner higher ratings than programs airing on other major networks, including "Fear Factor," "7th Heaven" and "Hells Kitchen." The episode featured Paul Manno, owner of local favorite eatery Paul Manno's Cafe, as the special guest.
Dierbergs uses the popular show as a platform to demonstrate great food ideas, using products found in its upscale supermarkets, as well as recipes from its "Everybody Cooks" companion magazine. The family-held chain also runs a popular cooking school in four of its St. Louis area store locations.
Stay tuned: The next episode of the chain's "Everybody Cooks" show will air Labor Day evening, Monday, September 5.
