STAMFORD, Conn. -- Cheese importer Norseland, Inc. here is gearing up to launch its summer retail campaign to persuade customers that "Summertime is Jarlsberg Time!"
Building on its successful promotion of the Jarlsberg cheese wheel via television commercials on the Food Network, the campaign will run from June 1 until the end of August. Supermarkets signed so far on are Safeway, Albertsons, and QFC, according to Norseland.
The campaign emphasizes fun family meals and casual entertaining. Point-of-purchase materials in the cheese case will focus on a picnic hamper with recipe cards.
