BOULDER -- Sunflower Markets, a 9-store chain founded by former Wild Oats' executive Mike Gilliland, successfully installed new back-office systems in each of its stores.

The retailer, which has stores in Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico, selected Melville, N.Y,-based Brdata's Retail BOSS software to cost-effectively improve retail pricing control and gain efficient and accurate reporting capabilities, as well as backdoor DSD receiving. The entire host installation was completed in less that one week's time, and the retailer plans to go live with the system immediately.

With Retail BOSS installed in all stores, Sunflower Markets will utilize several of Brdata's applications, including BRdata host and thin-client DSD for centralized management, Ad Planner advanced merchandiser promotional planning tool, competitive price tracking, and scale management applications.

"The training and technical support provided will ensure a smooth transition from our existing system to BRdata Retail BOSS," said senior dir. of operations & purchasing, Bob Millsap.

Brdata's Retail BOSS suite of applications covers retailers' complete enterprise needs with a modular solution comprising in-store solutions, a corporate host, financial applications, frequent shopper, and interfaces to perishable scale systems.
