CHICAGO -- Pathmark c.e.o. Eileen Scott will address the Network of Executive Women on Wed., Jan. 26, at the organization's New York Metro networking event.
Scott will address a range of topics at the waterfront Chart House Restaurant at Pier D-T at Lincoln Harbor in Weehawken, N.J. The networking event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m.
"Eileen's rise from cashier to CEO is very inspirational and we can all learn so much from her," said Candace Corlett, principal of WSL Strategic Retail and co-chair of the event. Co-Chair Maria Edelson, director, North America sales capability development for Procter & Gamble, said, "We look forward to a great evening of networking and hearing from of our industry's most influential executives. We urge all NEW supporters to attend."
Scott has been on a fast track at Pathmark for the last several years. She was named c.e.o. of Pathmark Stores in October 2002. From November 2001 to October 2002, she was e.v.p., store operations; prior to that she was the supermarket chain's merchandising and logistics e.v.p. Scott is also a director of Dollar Tree Stores, Inc.
In related news, NEW has implemented a 2005 sponsorship drive to bolster its roster.
"Without the support of our sponsors it would be impossible to accomplish our mission of attracting, retaining and advancing women in the CPG/retail industry," says Joan Toth, NEW executive director. "But the relationship is not one-sided – Network sponsors get a real business benefit from partnering with NEW."
Among the benefits that all sponsors receive: Interaction with more than one thousand NEW members; participation in NEW networking events; assistance developing internal networks; advice on best practices; a gender diversity scorecard; access to the network’s member database and Speakers Bureau; participation in university outreach programs; and unlimited online job postings.
