    Fresh Brands to Develop Centralized Pricing Solution

    SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - Fresh Brands, Inc. here plans to develop and execute pricing strategies across its 102 corporate and franchised Piggly Wigglys and Dick's Supermarkets.

    SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - Fresh Brands, Inc. here plans to develop and execute pricing strategies across its 102 corporate and franchised Piggly Wigglys and Dick's Supermarkets.

    To do this, the wholesaler/retailer will replace several of its mainframe applications by implementing TCI HQ from Irvine, Calif.-based TCI Solutions for centralized strategic pricing.

    The solution delivers comprehensive rules-based, multidimensional pricing capabilities to Fresh Brands, enabling the retailer to create business objective rules, automatically generate prices, and transfer approved price changes to stores.

    As a part of its enterprisewide merchandising initiative, Fresh Brands is also using TCI's Category Analyzer and RES Tools.

    Category Analyzer is a reporting and sales analysis tool that provides item movement and profitability reporting. RES Tools gives the company the flexibility to personalize the system to meet specific user requirements and accommodate new strategic business practices.
